After years of merely playing around with photography,I finally made it a more permanent part of my life. I have found the creative process as enjoyable as the final result. Some of the images on this website have taken with the use of a 4X5 large format camera. I am currently using a Canon 5D to take my photos. Photographing the landscape compliments my enjoyment of the outdoors. I like to be close to nature and enjoy hiking and backpacking. Sometimes the peacefulness is more profound than making photographs, but when I get the chance, I try to capture a moment in time that I find moving. Usually, this is done at closer distances and produces "intimate" images. I live in Austin,Tx with my wife Lisa, son James, and our two dogs Cy and Gus.
